Vence and Katie…Get Married

Vence and Katie made it official in Eastpointe yesterday. We started the day with Katie and the girls at Katie’s mom’s house in Dearborn. Then it was on to St. Veronica’s in Eastpointe…what a beautiful church for a wonderful occasion. We then stopped in downtown Mt. Clemens for some late afternoon shots before heading out to Zuccaro’s in Chesterfield for the party. Vence, Katie and their daughter Lucy all seemed so happy. What a wonderful, beautiful and memorable day for all involved. Enjoy!

Christina and Rick – Fore Lakes Wedding

You may remember Christina and Rick from our fun engagement session in Lexington a few months ago. Their wedding day arrived and it was a perfect day in a perfect setting. Fore Lakes Golf Club in Kimball, MI was the place. With the help of family and friends, and a super fun bridal party, Christina and Rick said their “I Do’s” and are off to spending a wonderful life together. Enjoy the photos!

Kaity and Steve – Fall Wedding Season Begins

Kaity and Steve ended up with a beautiful day to start our fall wedding season. Perfect weather and temperature. Kaity looked beautiful in her bridal gown. Their day started in Birmingham at St. Columban Catholic Church with a beautiful ceremony. After, we moved to downtown Birmingham and Shain Park for some fun pictures with Kaity and Steve and their wedding party. We then headed to Dodge Park in Sterling Heights for some more photos outdoors in a beautiful tree covered park. The party then moved to Penna’s of Sterling where a great evening was had by everyone. Best wishes Kaity and Steve, you truly planned a beautiful day.

Jaclyn and Bobby – Rockin’ the Dress

You may remember Jaclyn and Bobby from their wedding photos last month. Jaclyn had asked me if they could do a “Rock the Dress” (aka Trash the Dress in some circles) session. I was excited, as I don’t have many brides that have expressed an interest in doing one. Check out these fun images that we did with Jaclyn and Bobby at our studio and a nearby park. Fun and relaxed…something that’s often hard to get on a wedding day that’s on a timeline. I’m looking for more couples that want to “Rock their Dress”.

Julie and George – Beautiful Fall Wedding

Julie and George are one of the classiest couples I have photographed this year. Julie, an event planner, was meticulous in making sure the day turned out as she had dreamed. The ceremony was at St. Thomas More church in Troy, MI. After a meaningful ceremony, the festivities moved to Oakland Hills Country Club for the reception. A strolling dinner and the entertainment of the Jerry Ross Band highlighted the evening at the historic venue. Congratulations Julie and George and enjoy your honeymoon.

Eric and Jean – Rain Went Away and We Had a Wedding

I met Eric and Jean, both Baylor research students, about 9 months ago. We figured, an early September wedding would be perfect and beautiful…and that’s what they ended up with…a perfect day. Jean and Eric’s family came in from Taiwan, Vancouver and across the metro area and the US for this beautiful occasion.

We started the day with a “Tea Ceremony” that is traditional in Taiwan. I wish US weddings would pick up some of these traditions, as they add true sentiment to the wedding day. As the sky cleared during the ceremony, the party moved outside and the morning events were finished other than a great lunch. Jean and Eric then moved to the wedding day ceremony preparation. Eric at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham and Jean at Eric’s parents home.

The ceremony took place at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s chapel. A beautiful ceremony and then a few shots outside on the campus. We then moved on to Pine Lake Country Club, where the night took off and a great time was had by all. Cascade, provided the musical entertainment…as well as the Michigan v. Notre Dame football game in the bar area.

Best wishes to Eric and Jean!

Jessica and Mike – A Nice Day for A White Wedding

I’ve know Jessica and Mike for quite some time and I’m so happy this day finally arrived. They are one of those couples that seems truly in love. They had a beautiful wedding at the White House Wedding Chapel in Warren. Jessica looked stunning in her dress. After some photos on the grounds of the wedding chapel, we headed out to downtown Rochester and the Rochester Mills Brewery. Jessica and Mike had a super fun wedding party and so it made taking some fun shots that much easier. The Mirage in Clinton Township was the venue for the reception and the party. A great time was had by all. Best wished Mike and Jessica. Enjoy.

Molly and Ron – Cherry Creek, Fall Themed Wedding

Molly and Ron rung in the fall wedding season with a beautiful day that still felt a little more like summer than fall. Sunflower colors along with donuts and cider helped remind us fall is not far off. The bridesmaids carried on the color pallet with very stylish green shoes and groomsmen with green ties. Cherry Creek Golf Course in Shelby Township was the venue and backdrop for a wonderful day. After the ceremony on the veranda, we took the bride and groom out for some late day sun photos that helped to accent their day beautifully. Enjoy a wonderful life together Ron and Molly.

Megan and Keith – School Starts and the Teachers Get Hitched

Megan and Keith met when teaching math at the same high school. September 2, they tied the knot and decided that 9+2=11 (the date of their wedding) and will live happily ever after. What a fun couple and bridal party. I don’t think I’ve ever met a cooler bride and groom on their wedding day, nothing was going to phase either one of them, and that was the case. Megan and Keith chose a “first look” alone, at Shelby Township Heritage Park, to start the days festivities. The bridal party then traveled to Troy Historical Village for some fun photos in the historic school and around the grounds. Then it was on to the ceremony at Stoney Creek Metroark and a beautiful setting next to the lake, for the most important part of the day. We then finished off the fun at Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township for the night of celebration and partying. What a beautiful day and a handsome couple.

Tresa and Ron – A Rainy Days Doesn’t Get Them Down

So, the last few weekends have brought rain to Michigan on Saturday. Tresa and Ron still had a beautiful day planned and it turned out perfect, even though we didn’t get some of the outdoor photos we had planned. A nautical themed wedding was fun and unique and carried thru to the reception. A surprise at the reception came when Ron serenaded Tresa with a great rendition of the old Commodores tune “Lady”. Check the Joseph Bauer Studios blog, soon, for a film preview of the wedding. Best wishes for a wonderful life.
