Kaitlyn and Lance were last seen in this blog in the fall, when they were planning their big day. It finally came and what a great time was had by their whole family. Daughters Kelsey and London were also happy participants.
Pre wedding photos took place at Kaitlyn’s grandparents home in a great wooded and garden setting and then it was off to Laurel Manor for the ceremony and reception.
Congratulations Kaitlyn and Lance.
Kaitlyn and Lance wanted a fall beauty engagement session. Although the trees haven’t completely turned, we still had some nice backgrounds. They also wanted to include their two daughters in the photos, which was a bunch of fun too. The Bloomfield Hills Nature Center provided a great background for the afternoon with this happy couple/family. Stay tuned for a early summer 2016 wedding.
We last saw Jenny and Robert a couple months ago for their engagement session in Birmingham. The big day finally arrived and what a beautiful wedding they had.
The bride and groom both prepared for their day with their wedding party at the Detroit Athletic Club. It was then just down the street to Historic Trinity Lutheran Church for the beautiful ceremony. The church is another of Detroit’s hidden gems that everyone should visit at some point.
After the formalities were finished, it was off to the Detroit Riverwalk and Milliken State Park for some fun photos with the wedding party. A few more fun images were taken back at the beautiful Detroit Athletic Club prior to the celebration.
Great speeches and a great party helped the couple start their new lives together. The main dining room at the Detroit Athletic Club looked amazing for the party.
Best wishes to Robert and Jenny!
For my blog followers, you may remember Tracy and Kurt’s engagement session a couple months ago. Their big day arrived and Michigan provided a beautiful winter backdrop for this couple that now live in Cincinnati. This was my last wedding of the 2012 season. The bride got ready at the beautiful Loneridge Hall, which is part of University Presbyterian Church in Rochester Hills. Tracey’s mom did some extra decorating on the hall to make it even more festive. From there we walked across the property to University Presbyterian Church for the ceremony, with the snow lightly falling. After the ceremony it was off to downton Rochester for some fun photos with the wedding party and the downtown lights as their backdrop. The girls, in their sleeveless dresses and small shawls, braved the cold temperatures for Tracey and Kurt. The reception then followed at Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester. What a beautiful venue for a winter wedding. Some of Tracy and Kurt’s love of baseball…and Kurt’s love for Ohio State came out during the reception (note I say Kurt and his family’s love for OSU). Best wishes to Kurt and Tracey for a happy life.
Although a bit cold, we were able to get some fun shots of Jessie and Dom in the downtown Detroit area. Campus Martius, Hart Plaza and Woodward Avenue provided much of our backdrop…with a quick trip to St. Andrews Hall for some shots with The Avengers graffiti wall. I look forward to the warm July day of Jess’ and Dom’s wedding…enjoy.
Erica and Kyle had the perfect day for a beautiful fall wedding at Shepherd’s Hollow in Clarkston, MI. What a great venue and a super fun wedding party. Their vows were said with the tall pines and a setting sun as the background. We then headed out to one of the picturesque holes on the course for some fun photos with the wedding party. The party then continued back in the clubhouse with a great meal and dancing. Best Wishes Kyle and Erica.
Tom and Sara chose Greystone Golf and Banquet Center in Romeo as their venue for both their wedding and reception. It was a lovely Michigan summer day, which for this summer, was almost perfect…not too hot and no rain. We started out with Tom and the guys getting ready at Sara and Tom’s home. We then met the girls at Greystone for a few fun photos before the guys got there. It was then on to the ceremony, overlooking the lake at Greystone. A lot of emotions came out during the ceremony and reception. A great rendition of the Hall and Oates classic, “Sara Smile” during the daddy-daughter dance got the whole crowd choked up. The evenings festivities finished up with the bouquet and garter toss that brought about lots of laughs. The dancing continued on for hours after that.
Best wishes Sara and Tom and enjoy Puerto Rico.
