Kaitlyn and Lance wanted a fall beauty engagement session. Although the trees haven’t completely turned, we still had some nice backgrounds. They also wanted to include their two daughters in the photos, which was a bunch of fun too. The Bloomfield Hills Nature Center provided a great background for the afternoon with this happy couple/family. Stay tuned for a early summer 2016 wedding.
Becca is from Traverse City and Mike was stationed in Traverse City with the Coast Guard when they met. The rest is history. Although their wedding is going to be in the Detroit area, they wanted to make sure they had some photos of the area of the state that is so dear to them. Old Mission Peninsula’s lighthouse and wineries and orchards and downtown Traverse City played as backdrops for the photos. What a beautiful afternoon.
Julie had talked to me about wanting to do a fall session since they booked me over a year ago. We last saw Jon and Julie a month ago on their wedding day. Now they are ready to get on with their lives.
We had a perfect day for Jon and Julie to put on their wedding outfits for one last time. The E.L. Johnson Nature Center in Bloomfield Hills provided a perfect background. The fall colors were just perfect. Jon was an extra trooper, agreeing to do the session after running the Detroit Marathon earlier that day.
Whitney and Brian are such a fun couple and you feel how much they enjoy spending time together. We had a perfect fall evening on the shores of Quarton Lake in Birmingham. Although the fall colors are still a little spotty, you still feel the warmth of the autumn light as the days get shorter. Enjoy the photos and stay tuned for a beautiful wedding in July 2015.
Jon and Julie juggled their busy schedules and we got their fall 2013 engagement session in. Independence Oaks county park provided our background. A nice quiet morning with a mirror like lake and perfect temperature for a nice walk. Resume your busy lives, but enjoy your photos first.
Kelsey and Kyle had a wedding day that dreams were made of. Although Kelsey and Kyle are CMU Chippewas, they both have been lifelong UM fans. They had a day of dreams planned.
Kelsey had been dreaming of the wedding day since she was a little girl. She planned a hidden first look planned that then moved into the true first look, in the garden at the Michigan League where Kelsey’s parents were married. We had some time and grabbed some photo ops on the way to Michigan Union and the ceremony.
Kelsey had given Kyle a gift at the first look of a tour of Michigan Stadium after the ceremony. Kyle and the groomsmen were like a bunch of little kids as they walked thru the locker room and onto the field of the Big House. After an hour of fun there, it was back to Michigan Union for the evenings festivities.
A wedding should always be a dream, but I truly think it was for Kyle and Kelsey. Best wishes!!!
