Becca is from Traverse City and Mike was stationed in Traverse City with the Coast Guard when they met. The rest is history. Although their wedding is going to be in the Detroit area, they wanted to make sure they had some photos of the area of the state that is so dear to them. Old Mission Peninsula’s lighthouse and wineries and orchards and downtown Traverse City played as backdrops for the photos. What a beautiful afternoon.
Alexa and Dax are Chicago residents, but truly have a passion for Detroit. Their wedding will be in Detroit in 2016 and they came to “the D” for their e-session photos. We stopped at a few of their favorite spots in Detroit to do some photos. They are big fans of the Movement festival, so we had to stop by Hart Plaza for a few shots.
Stay tuned for more beautiful shots from their wedding day in 2016.
Jenny and Robert are both young physicians and so getting a few minutes with them together was hard. We had a perfect evening in Birmingham, Michigan’s Quarton Lake Park.
It was great hanging out with them for an hour or so and learning a little more about them and their upcoming July wedding. Enjoy!
Nicole and Josh are getting married in December this year, but took advantage of a beautiful summer day for some fun photos. Rae, Josh’s daughter, came along to be included in the soon to be family. Josh is a fireman for Bruce Township and wanted to include some fire truck photos in the session. Nicole even agreed to wear, in her description, Josh’s “terribly smelly coat”.
We then headed out to Wolcott Mill Metropark for some photos by the old mill and pond. A perfect day for the perfect new family. Enjoy!
Jon and Julie juggled their busy schedules and we got their fall 2013 engagement session in. Independence Oaks county park provided our background. A nice quiet morning with a mirror like lake and perfect temperature for a nice walk. Resume your busy lives, but enjoy your photos first.
Summer and Sean think of Ferndale as “their” city. They enjoy spending time there, hanging out with friends there and eating there. So, why wouldn’t they want to have their engagement session there. We had fun finding fun places to make some memorable images of their love of Ferndale. Enjoy.
Justine and Scott aren’t getting married until the winter of 2014. Sunday’s weather couldn’t have been more opposite with high humidity and lots of heat. Wandering around the streets of Detroit, we captured the personality and love between the couple. Some great light bounced off the Renaissance Center and made some interesting shots. Look for Justine and Scott’s wedding day in February.
These two Spartans met while in college and are tying the knot this summer. We picked a beautiful night to visit their alma mater and do some fun images. Although the mosquitoes tried to scare us away, we all were able to swat our way thru the evening. The photo of Anna and Andrew at “the rock” was to commemorate where they first met at MSU. I’m guessing many layers of paint have covered that rock since.
Kristen and Bobby contacted me a few months ago about an e-session. Bobby was be sent from San Angelo, TX to New Jersey and a new Air Force base. They were stopping in Michigan for a quick visit with their families and wanted to do an engagement session in a city they still have a great connnection with, Detroit. Bobby and Kristen are big Red Wings fans and wanted a few pictures at the Joe, as well as some other Detroit highlights. Kristen and Bobby are getting married in September in Grand Haven. Best wishes and enjoy New Jersey.
Stephen and Rebecca’s wedding is coming up in July. Since it’s January in Michigan, we chose the friendly and warm confines of the Detroit Institute of Arts for their engagement session. Rebecca had never visited the DIA before, so it was kind of a whirlwind tour / engagement session. With great winter window light we were able to get some beautiful shots. We even ventured outside for a few at the end of the session. Looking forward to a warm summer day in July. Enjoy.
