Kaitlyn and Lance wanted a fall beauty engagement session. Although the trees haven’t completely turned, we still had some nice backgrounds. They also wanted to include their two daughters in the photos, which was a bunch of fun too. The Bloomfield Hills Nature Center provided a great background for the afternoon with this happy couple/family. Stay tuned for a early summer 2016 wedding.
Becca is from Traverse City and Mike was stationed in Traverse City with the Coast Guard when they met. The rest is history. Although their wedding is going to be in the Detroit area, they wanted to make sure they had some photos of the area of the state that is so dear to them. Old Mission Peninsula’s lighthouse and wineries and orchards and downtown Traverse City played as backdrops for the photos. What a beautiful afternoon.
We had a great time with Pam and Kevin, yesterday, at their late autumn wedding. Although we still have a month of fall left, it was a cold, yet sunny day.
Fun was had with the bridesmaids early in the day at Embassy Suites in Southfield, then it was off to Franklin Community Church. A historic church in such a quaint village in metro Detroit was beautiful for a fall wedding.
We then made some post wedding stops in the Franklin community center area around the church and then moved down the road to Franklin Cider Mill.
Birmingham Athletic Club was the reception venue. A wonderful meal and an evening of dancing helped the couple celebrate their day.
Best Wishes Pam and Kevin!
Ryan and Stephanie, both MSU grads, chose to have their wedding a place dear to their hearts. It was a beautiful day with perfect temperatures for a wedding with photos after around the MSU campus.
The day began at the MSU Alumni Chapel. A historic and intimate venue that begins a special day for so many alums. Once the vows were said, we were quickly moved around campus to various locations that had meaning to the grads, eventually heading to Kellogg Center for the evenings party.
Kellogg Center is a great modern conference venue that is perfect to host a wedding. With the band Jedi Mind Trip providing the music for the evening, the dance floor seemed full from the moment they started playing.
Best wishes to a wonderful life Stephanie and Ryan.
Julie and Ryan live in Detroit and wanted a wedding that was based around what they love about the “D”. Julie got ready at the Marriott Ren Cen and had a room with a beautiful view of the river. What a relaxed and fun group of girls that were Julie’s bridesmaids.
We then travelled to the couple’s home in Corktown for the first look at some fun photos with Ryan and Julie. Everyone then headed to Dequindre Cut for a little more urban and rustic look with the entire wedding party.
Finally, The Rattlesnake Club became our final destination with some great images in the old Stroh’s complex around the Rattlesnake. Then at 5:00, Julie and Ryan became husband and wife and the party started.
We truly enjoyed our day with the happy couple. Best wishes and enjoy!
Ryan and Stephanie were another of my couples who were in town for Thanksgiving. We had a warmer day, for the beginning of winter, to wander around Rochester downtown. The sun was brilliant and created some great light. Ryan and Stephanie’s big day isn’t until October, but stay tuned for some more great images.
Jon and Julie juggled their busy schedules and we got their fall 2013 engagement session in. Independence Oaks county park provided our background. A nice quiet morning with a mirror like lake and perfect temperature for a nice walk. Resume your busy lives, but enjoy your photos first.
Kelsey and Kyle had a wedding day that dreams were made of. Although Kelsey and Kyle are CMU Chippewas, they both have been lifelong UM fans. They had a day of dreams planned.
Kelsey had been dreaming of the wedding day since she was a little girl. She planned a hidden first look planned that then moved into the true first look, in the garden at the Michigan League where Kelsey’s parents were married. We had some time and grabbed some photo ops on the way to Michigan Union and the ceremony.
Kelsey had given Kyle a gift at the first look of a tour of Michigan Stadium after the ceremony. Kyle and the groomsmen were like a bunch of little kids as they walked thru the locker room and onto the field of the Big House. After an hour of fun there, it was back to Michigan Union for the evenings festivities.
A wedding should always be a dream, but I truly think it was for Kyle and Kelsey. Best wishes!!!
