Becca is from Traverse City and Mike was stationed in Traverse City with the Coast Guard when they met. The rest is history. Although their wedding is going to be in the Detroit area, they wanted to make sure they had some photos of the area of the state that is so dear to them. Old Mission Peninsula’s lighthouse and wineries and orchards and downtown Traverse City played as backdrops for the photos. What a beautiful afternoon.
Lea and Michael had a perfect wedding day planned and, in my opinion, it turned out just as they planned. Lexington, Michigan was the area the wedding and events took place. We started at Blue Water Winery with Lea and Michael’s first look. After some fun shots there we travelled into downtown Lexington for a few shots and then it was off to the ceremony at the Lexington KofC Hall. A beautiful evening and a wooded area was perfect for the intimate ceremony. The reception in the hall finished the evening with fun had by all of the guests. Best wishes Lea and Michael.
Jennifer and Mark were my last scheduled engagement session for the fall season. It was a crisp fall evening and we were able to capture some of the beauty of Michigan’s autumn before the snow starts to fly. The thing I learned quickly about Jennifer and Mark is they love spending time together in the outdoors…and they love to horse around with each other. There was never a shortage of smiles on our tour of the farm and surrounding areas. I love seeing a couple that can so easily interact with each other. It truly makes my job of capturing them that much easier. If we look for Jennifer and Mark in the next week, we’ll probably find them in a deer blind. Come December, we’ll see them back here on the blog with their wedding photos.
Emily and Dan grew up in Armada, Michigan and were proud enough to want their engagement session done there. I hadn’t been to the area in years, but it’s still a great place to grow up and raise a family. The orchards are the core (no pun intended…ok I had to think of that) to the area, but it’s great they still have a vibrant downtown and a yearly festival that is still one of the best in the state. I’m looking forward to Emily and Dan’s wedding coming up this fall, partly because it’s going to be a lot of fun and secondly…Emily’s hair is one of those colors that pops off any background. Enjoy the photos and follow the blog for some awesome wedding photos soon to come.
I hadn’t met Set and May until their wedding day. All preparations had been done via e-mail and phone thru May. What a treat to meet such a truly wonderful couple that obviously are very in love…and have so many friends and family who travelled to mid-Michigan to celebrate their marriage. The wedding and reception took place on the family farm which Seth grew up on and now calls home.
Seth and May planned a wedding and reception that none of their guests would forget. Beginning in the middle of an open field surrounded by trees for their ceremony and then moving to the heart of the farm for the reception that was highlighted by a two hour musical tribute from many of their friends.
Best wishes Seth and May and I look forward to the concert you will put on next winter for all of our friends and clients.
