Amy and Joe – Farm Engagement Session

Amy grew up around horses and so a farm setting only made sense for she and Joe.  We had a great time wandering around Amy’s dad’s horse farm and woods.  Miss Hadley, our stylist, kept us all in line. Keep watching in 2017 to see a beautiful wedding featuring Amy and Joe.

Melissa and Andrew – Troy High and Rochester Hills Engagement Session

Andrew and Melissa picked a great night for an engagement session in the Troy and Rochester Hills area. We started at Troy High, where although they didn’t date in high school, they both graduated from. We spent some time around the athletic facilities reliving some younger days.

It was then off to the Rochester Hills Municipal Center and some great color and water features. The wild flowers all are in full bloom and it made for some great backdrops. Melissa wanted to test Andrew’s physical abilities before he heads off to flight school on Tues. A May 2015 wedding is in the plans and we look forward to seeing this fun couple again then.

Dana and Kyle’s Plymouth Michigan engagement session

Dana and Kyle picked Plymouth, Michigan for their engagement session. We had a perfect spring…almost summer day to wander around the streets of Plymouth looking for good backgrounds. The Plymouth Coffee Bean started and ended our session with some fun furniture and backgrounds. It’s such a perfect time of the year to get green grass, green trees and some blooming bushes. Look forward to Dana and Kyle’s summer wedding photos.

Jack and Nicole – Academy of Sacred Heart and Twin Lakes Golf Club Wedding

Jack and Nicole were last seen on the blog nearly a year ago with their engagement session. Fast forward a year and they had the perfect wedding day planned. Starting with Nicole and the girls getting ready at Royal Park Hotel. The party then moved to Academy of Sacred Heart for a beautiful ceremony. The plan was then to do some fun outdoor photos with the wedding party, but mother nature decided to throw us a curve ball and we ended up at Rochester Mills Brewery. Then we moved on to the party destination at Twin Lakes Golf Club. Flourish Event Design did a wonderful job with the reception and flowers. Congratulations to Jack and Nicole.

Anna and Andrew – Michigan State Engagement Session

These two Spartans met while in college and are tying the knot this summer. We picked a beautiful night to visit their alma mater and do some fun images. Although the mosquitoes tried to scare us away, we all were able to swat our way thru the evening. The photo of Anna and Andrew at “the rock” was to commemorate where they first met at MSU. I’m guessing many layers of paint have covered that rock since.

Ashley and Jeff – Royal Oak Michigan Engagement Session

Jeff and Ashley picked a perfect day for their engagement session in the town where they met and now live, Royal Oak. Along with Foster, their German Shorthair, we had a great time exploring a park in Royal Oak and doing some shots under my favorite viaduct. Foster got some free running time in between his modeling debut also. We then headed downtown for a few shots. Watch the blog for the couple’s wedding day in September.

Andrea and Ryan – Early Fall Wedding

Andrea and Ryan’s wild wedding week finally came to a close on Saturday, with the most important event.  The ceremony was held at St. Owen Catholic Church in Franklin, Michigan.  We then headed to Franklin Village Community Center for some fun photos with the wedding party.  It was then off to Wabeek Country Club for a few more golfing and fun photos and then the beautiful reception.  It’s back to their residency program for the newlyweds, but we wish them all the best.

Kristine and John – Detroit’s Eastern Market Engagement Session

I met up with Kristine and John early on Saturday morning.  The trip to Eastern Market in Detroit has become a Saturday morning ritual for the couple and they decided it would be a fun choice for a engagement / lifestyle session.  We started out with some awesome light and found a few nice urban settings to give their session a true Detroit feel.  We then headed over to the market sheds and captured Kristine and John having fun, doing their market shopping.  I really enjoyed just following them around and shooting the day they enjoy.  We finished up with a few other urban settings and Kristine and John were off to Russell St. Deli for breakfast.  Keep watching the blog for some great wedding photos of Kristine and John this fall.

Julie and George – Beautiful Fall Wedding

Julie and George are one of the classiest couples I have photographed this year. Julie, an event planner, was meticulous in making sure the day turned out as she had dreamed. The ceremony was at St. Thomas More church in Troy, MI. After a meaningful ceremony, the festivities moved to Oakland Hills Country Club for the reception. A strolling dinner and the entertainment of the Jerry Ross Band highlighted the evening at the historic venue. Congratulations Julie and George and enjoy your honeymoon.

Rachel and Josh – Wedding

I’m getting kind of behind on some blogging. We followed Rachel and Josh a couple weeks ago on their pre-wedding photo session and then…what happened? They married on Saturday in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Fox Hills Golf Club in Plymouth. Their Christian/Jewish ceremony took place in the garden area at Fox Hills. It was a perfect afternoon for a very special ceremony. Josh and Rachel then partied the night away to a mixture of contemporary and polka music that was enjoyed by all. The beautiful flower arrangements were provided by Corrina at Petite Fleur and video by Joseph Bauer Productions

Rachel and Josh headed back to their home in Maryland after the wedding. Best wishes for a happy life.
