We fought the probability of rain most of the day, but Becca and Michael didn’t let it stop them from an amazingly beautiful wedding. Michael, who is in the US Coast Guard, helped to organize the nautical themed wedding. Becca and her bridesmaids looked wonderful and other than the outdoor ceremony being moved in, the day went off without a hitch.
Best Wishes, Becca and Michael!
We last saw Chelsey and Jeff on a cold March day, this was the exact opposite, a hot nearly July day. Marine City’s Holy Cross church was the backdrop for a beautiful wedding day. Although there were lots of program fanning the guests during the ceremony, it was all smiles from the bride and groom. Chelsey and Jeff have won my award for the largest wedding party I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. We spent time photographing at Luna Kai and Belle Mare Marina after the wedding and before heading to MacRay Harbor for the reception. The view from the reception was breathtaking, overlooking the marina and Lake St. Clair, with the happiness for Chelsey and Jeff providing the background sound. Congratulations!
Ok, it’s a little misleading, although they are going to the beach for their honeymoon. Sarah and Adam were married at St. Peters and Paul Catholic Church in Detroit. We started out at Sarah’s parents home in Romeo. What a beautiful old victorian style home. A great place for some pictures of the bridesmaids and Sarah getting ready. They guys decided to go to Riverwalk to get their photos prior to the ceremony and then we hit the Detroit highlights between the ceremony and reception, complete with a stop at Lafayette Coney Island (one of my favorites). We had just enough time to get some cool pictures at Metro Beach, where the reception was also held. A beautiful warm, August, Michigan evening.
Rachel and Chris have been one of my favorite couples to photograph. They are so spontaneous and fun, it makes them super easy to photograph. The couple now lives in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, but came back to their hometown for their wedding. The Detroit Zoo’s Hummingbird and Butterfly Garden was their chosen venue for the ceremony. What a cool place to have a wedding! We then moved to the Activity Center at Metro Beach in Harrison Township. Again, a unique spot for a reception and some fun pictures next to the water. Best wishes to Rachel and Chris!
Jenny & Jeremy were featured back in June during their engagement session…well it was wedding day and I am guessing they would have preferred a hot Austin, Texas day as opposed to a hot humid and rainy Michigan day. It was still a beautiful wedding at Gino’s Surf, just indoors instead of outdoors. We did get the sun to come out for a little while, and the wind to quit blowing long enough to get a few nice shots outside.
Jenny & Jeremy, enjoy life and enjoy your honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta.
