Alexa and Dax are Chicago residents, but truly have a passion for Detroit. Their wedding will be in Detroit in 2016 and they came to “the D” for their e-session photos. We stopped at a few of their favorite spots in Detroit to do some photos. They are big fans of the Movement festival, so we had to stop by Hart Plaza for a few shots.
Stay tuned for more beautiful shots from their wedding day in 2016.
Kristen and Bobby contacted me a few months ago about an e-session. Bobby was be sent from San Angelo, TX to New Jersey and a new Air Force base. They were stopping in Michigan for a quick visit with their families and wanted to do an engagement session in a city they still have a great connnection with, Detroit. Bobby and Kristen are big Red Wings fans and wanted a few pictures at the Joe, as well as some other Detroit highlights. Kristen and Bobby are getting married in September in Grand Haven. Best wishes and enjoy New Jersey.
Teegan and Dan made the trek to Detroit for the holiday this weekend. We ended up with a perfect spring day in the “D”. I had a great time getting to know Teegan and Dan while spending times in the streets of Detroit, Hart Plaza, the Griswold Building and Campus Martius Park. The couple has a really fun wedding planned in September that I look forward to sharing with them. Stay tuned.
Kelsey and Kyle chose downtown Detroit for their engagement session. They both enjoy the Greektown area and love to stop at Astoria Pastries for a sweet treat when they stop…so of course we had to stop there. We found our way along the city streets to Hart Plaza for some classic Detroit skyline images. Kelsey and Kyle will be our wedding day stars in October this year. We look forward to photographing their Michigan Union wedding.
Although a bit cold, we were able to get some fun shots of Jessie and Dom in the downtown Detroit area. Campus Martius, Hart Plaza and Woodward Avenue provided much of our backdrop…with a quick trip to St. Andrews Hall for some shots with The Avengers graffiti wall. I look forward to the warm July day of Jess’ and Dom’s wedding…enjoy.
Stephanie and Ricky had been waiting for this day for years and it did not disappoint. We had a beautiful Michigan summer day and the beauty. Stephanie looked perfectly beautiful in her dress and Ricky dapper in his tux to stand out over the beauty of the historic St. Anne Catholic Church in Detroit. We then headed to the Detroit Riverwalk park for some pictures in front of the Renaissance Center and Hart Plaza. Then it was off to the Italian American Banquet Center in Livonia for a great party and evening that will not soon be forgotten. Congrats Stephanie and Ricky.
It was a fairly nice winter day in Michigan and we headed to downtown Detroit with Michelle and Rick for their e-session. We were going to start at Slows Barbecue, but that’s such a popular place anymore there was no room to shoot…we ended up finishing at Lafayette Coney Island, Rick’s proclaimed favorite coney in Detroit.
The Winter Blast was going on downtown so we had some fun there and then took a stroll down to Hart Plaza which was deserted. I think as the day went on Michelle and Rick finally got used to having a camera aimed at them and enjoyed the day. Looking forward to their warm weather wedding!!!
