Jennifer and Robert – Historic Trinity and Detroit Athletic Club Wedding

We last saw Jenny and Robert a couple months ago for their engagement session in Birmingham. The big day finally arrived and what a beautiful wedding they had.

The bride and groom both prepared for their day with their wedding party at the Detroit Athletic Club. It was then just down the street to Historic Trinity Lutheran Church for the beautiful ceremony. The church is another of Detroit’s hidden gems that everyone should visit at some point.

After the formalities were finished, it was off to the Detroit Riverwalk and Milliken State Park for some fun photos with the wedding party. A few more fun images were taken back at the beautiful Detroit Athletic Club prior to the celebration.

Great speeches and a great party helped the couple start their new lives together. The main dining room at the Detroit Athletic Club looked amazing for the party.

Best wishes to Robert and Jenny!

Pete and Jenny – Royal Park Hotel Wedding Day

I’ve known Jenny for a few years now. I was so happy that she met someone to spend her life with. Their small and intimate day took place at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. Jenny looked stunning in her beautiful dress and Pete was equally handsome. The day included Jenny and Pete’s children, which made it special for them. The skies cleared in the evening so we could get some beautiful photos by Paint Creek and then head inside to the reception. Congratulations Pete and Jenny.

Scott and Justine – Grosse Pointe and Renaissance Marriott Wedding

Justine and Scott wanted a winter wedding.  They picked the winter of 2014 that has been a little more winter-like than winter’s in recent history.  It was a bright sunny day that still made for a beautiful wedding day.

The ladies got ready on the 64th floor of the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.  The room was full of fun and laughter with a great view of the frozen Detroit River.  Once everyone was ready, it was off to St. Paul Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe for the wedding mass.  We snuck outside for a few images, in the snow and cold, before heading back to the Renaissance Center for the evening’s festivities.  We spent a little time at the Ren Cen, doing a few fun photos with the wedding party.  It was then a beautiful room, designed by Emerald City Designs and a great meal by the staff at the Marriott.  Congratulations Scott and Justine.

Ryan and Stephanie – Rochester, Michigan Engagement Session

Ryan and Stephanie were another of my couples who were in town for Thanksgiving. We had a warmer day, for the beginning of winter, to wander around Rochester downtown. The sun was brilliant and created some great light. Ryan and Stephanie’s big day isn’t until October, but stay tuned for some more great images.

James and Kelly – Rochester Municipal Park Engagement Session

James and Kelly live in Arizona and were in Michigan for Thanksgiving and wedding planning.  Of course they picked one of the coldest weeks so far this winter to visit and we needed to get their e-session in.  We chose Rochester Municipal park for their venue.  Even the dogs had fun on a beautiful, cold Michigan late afternoon.  Can’t wait for a warm day in June for their big day.

Josh and Ashley – Rochester, Michigan Engagement Session

Josh and Ashley started out their session a little stressed about having to take photos. By the time they were done, they both said they had fun and I think we ended up with some nice images. Spending an evening at Rochester Municipal Park with changing trees…we couldn’t go wrong. Ashley and Josh are hoping for a great fall wedding day in October 2014.

Monika and Robert – Detroit Engagement Session

Charlie and Nicole – Brighton Michigan Engagement Session

Charlie and Nicole chose Brighton for their engagement session. I have been to Brighton quite a few times, but have never photographed there. Brighton has a vibrant downtown area with a riverwalk and some nice buildings that make great backgrounds. Nicole and Charlie aren’t getting married until next summer, but we took the advantage of some great weather to get some super shots. It never hurts having a handsome couple also. Enjoy.

Mary and Aaron – Oak Arbor and Rochester Michigan Wedding

I last met with Aaron and Mary last fall, late in the season. A winter of planning ended up with the perfect wedding day. Temperature and weather were perfect. Mary was a beautiful bride. The ceremony took place at Oak Arbor Church in Rochester, MI. Oak Arbor is such a natually beautiful sanctuary with so much natural light and their wedding day did not disappoint. We then headed to Rochester downtown. We first stopped at the park in Rochester and took some fun photos along Paint Creek. We then headed to a carnival on the south end of Rochester for some super fun shots of the newlyweds. Both had so much fun on the carosuel. It was then off to The Mirage in Clinton Township for a fun reception and dancing. Best wishes to the new couple.

Tracey and Kurt – Rochester Engagement Session

Tracey grew up in Rochester, but she and Kurt now live in Cincinnati.  We chose the Rochester Park area to do their engagement session.  What a perfect morning, albiet a little cool, but the sun was just perfect.  We also made it over to the Rochester Grain Elevator for a few fun shots.  Kurt is a Cleveland Indians fan and Tracey is a Detroit Tigers fan, so we had to bring that into the mix too.  Tracey and Kurt’s wedding is coming up in December, so check back soon.
