A cold December day didn’t scare Nicole and Josh. In fact, that’s what they hoped for. Their ceremony was a Zion Church of Christ in Mt. Clemens where the church was decorated for the season and a beautiful wedding day. Josh’s daughter, Rae, played a huge part in the wedding day and was a wonderful flower girl.
After the ceremony and formal photos, we headed for downtown Rochester and the downtown full of holiday lights. Josh and Nicole, and the wedding party, were troopers and we got lots of fun images in the downtown area.
It was then off to Indianwood Country Club for a beautifully decorate Great Hall. A wonderful meal, fun and love was felt by all. Best wishes to the happy couple.
I’ve known Jenny for a few years now. I was so happy that she met someone to spend her life with. Their small and intimate day took place at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. Jenny looked stunning in her beautiful dress and Pete was equally handsome. The day included Jenny and Pete’s children, which made it special for them. The skies cleared in the evening so we could get some beautiful photos by Paint Creek and then head inside to the reception. Congratulations Pete and Jenny.
Ryan and Stephanie were another of my couples who were in town for Thanksgiving. We had a warmer day, for the beginning of winter, to wander around Rochester downtown. The sun was brilliant and created some great light. Ryan and Stephanie’s big day isn’t until October, but stay tuned for some more great images.
James and Kelly live in Arizona and were in Michigan for Thanksgiving and wedding planning. Of course they picked one of the coldest weeks so far this winter to visit and we needed to get their e-session in. We chose Rochester Municipal park for their venue. Even the dogs had fun on a beautiful, cold Michigan late afternoon. Can’t wait for a warm day in June for their big day.
Jack and Nicole were last seen on the blog nearly a year ago with their engagement session. Fast forward a year and they had the perfect wedding day planned. Starting with Nicole and the girls getting ready at Royal Park Hotel. The party then moved to Academy of Sacred Heart for a beautiful ceremony. The plan was then to do some fun outdoor photos with the wedding party, but mother nature decided to throw us a curve ball and we ended up at Rochester Mills Brewery. Then we moved on to the party destination at Twin Lakes Golf Club. Flourish Event Design did a wonderful job with the reception and flowers. Congratulations to Jack and Nicole.
Kristin and Kyle chose downtown Rochester for their engagement session. We had a perfect fall evening to wander along Paint Creek and downtown Rochester. We are looking forward to Kristin and Kyle’s big day in 2014. Stay tuned.
Josh and Ashley started out their session a little stressed about having to take photos. By the time they were done, they both said they had fun and I think we ended up with some nice images. Spending an evening at Rochester Municipal Park with changing trees…we couldn’t go wrong. Ashley and Josh are hoping for a great fall wedding day in October 2014.
For my blog followers, you may remember Tracy and Kurt’s engagement session a couple months ago. Their big day arrived and Michigan provided a beautiful winter backdrop for this couple that now live in Cincinnati. This was my last wedding of the 2012 season. The bride got ready at the beautiful Loneridge Hall, which is part of University Presbyterian Church in Rochester Hills. Tracey’s mom did some extra decorating on the hall to make it even more festive. From there we walked across the property to University Presbyterian Church for the ceremony, with the snow lightly falling. After the ceremony it was off to downton Rochester for some fun photos with the wedding party and the downtown lights as their backdrop. The girls, in their sleeveless dresses and small shawls, braved the cold temperatures for Tracey and Kurt. The reception then followed at Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester. What a beautiful venue for a winter wedding. Some of Tracy and Kurt’s love of baseball…and Kurt’s love for Ohio State came out during the reception (note I say Kurt and his family’s love for OSU). Best wishes to Kurt and Tracey for a happy life.
Tracey grew up in Rochester, but she and Kurt now live in Cincinnati. We chose the Rochester Park area to do their engagement session. What a perfect morning, albiet a little cool, but the sun was just perfect. We also made it over to the Rochester Grain Elevator for a few fun shots. Kurt is a Cleveland Indians fan and Tracey is a Detroit Tigers fan, so we had to bring that into the mix too. Tracey and Kurt’s wedding is coming up in December, so check back soon.
