We last saw Jenny and Robert a couple months ago for their engagement session in Birmingham. The big day finally arrived and what a beautiful wedding they had.
The bride and groom both prepared for their day with their wedding party at the Detroit Athletic Club. It was then just down the street to Historic Trinity Lutheran Church for the beautiful ceremony. The church is another of Detroit’s hidden gems that everyone should visit at some point.
After the formalities were finished, it was off to the Detroit Riverwalk and Milliken State Park for some fun photos with the wedding party. A few more fun images were taken back at the beautiful Detroit Athletic Club prior to the celebration.
Great speeches and a great party helped the couple start their new lives together. The main dining room at the Detroit Athletic Club looked amazing for the party.
Best wishes to Robert and Jenny!
Julie and Ryan live in Detroit and wanted a wedding that was based around what they love about the “D”. Julie got ready at the Marriott Ren Cen and had a room with a beautiful view of the river. What a relaxed and fun group of girls that were Julie’s bridesmaids.
We then travelled to the couple’s home in Corktown for the first look at some fun photos with Ryan and Julie. Everyone then headed to Dequindre Cut for a little more urban and rustic look with the entire wedding party.
Finally, The Rattlesnake Club became our final destination with some great images in the old Stroh’s complex around the Rattlesnake. Then at 5:00, Julie and Ryan became husband and wife and the party started.
We truly enjoyed our day with the happy couple. Best wishes and enjoy!
Nicole and Josh are getting married in December this year, but took advantage of a beautiful summer day for some fun photos. Rae, Josh’s daughter, came along to be included in the soon to be family. Josh is a fireman for Bruce Township and wanted to include some fire truck photos in the session. Nicole even agreed to wear, in her description, Josh’s “terribly smelly coat”.
We then headed out to Wolcott Mill Metropark for some photos by the old mill and pond. A perfect day for the perfect new family. Enjoy!
I met Charlie and Nicole about a year ago. All the planning for a beautiful wedding paid off. They had the perfect day at Inn at St. Johns. Nicole looked stunning in her dress and Charlie was dapper in his tux and managed through the day with a severely injured knee (a la the balancing photo below).
The Dan Rafferty Band entertained the crowd during the reception and never left the dance floor empty. The band is constantly engaging the guests and kept everyone smiling and dancing. An amazing evening for a truly handsome couple. Best of luck Nicole and Charlie.
A perfect day for a beautiful wedding at Clarkston’s Pine Knob Mansion. For a small intimate wedding, I don’t think there is a more beautiful venue in Metro Detroit…especially for a summer wedding.
Monica and Matt had a wonderful ceremony that combined both of their faiths and included personalized vows. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed the perfect weather on the patio for a cocktail hour. The wedding guests kept the dance floor busy all night and helped Matt and Monica celebrate their special day. Best wishes to the happy couple.
Jessica and Dom had a beautiful day planned. With royal blue Michigan sky to compliment the peacock color pallet chosen for the day, we celebrated their marriage. MacRay Harbor was the setting for the ceremony. As a first for our photography studio, Jess and Dom planned a blindfolded first look. We set up in downtown Mt. Clemens for some fun shots with the bridal party and the blindfolded introduction. It was then off to MacRay for the ceremony and party to follow. It was a very warm day, but the friends and family filled the seats on the shores of Lake St. Clair. Congratulations to Jessica and Dom.
Emily and Dan grew up in Armada, Michigan and were proud enough to want their engagement session done there. I hadn’t been to the area in years, but it’s still a great place to grow up and raise a family. The orchards are the core (no pun intended…ok I had to think of that) to the area, but it’s great they still have a vibrant downtown and a yearly festival that is still one of the best in the state. I’m looking forward to Emily and Dan’s wedding coming up this fall, partly because it’s going to be a lot of fun and secondly…Emily’s hair is one of those colors that pops off any background. Enjoy the photos and follow the blog for some awesome wedding photos soon to come.
Christina and Rick wanted to do their engagement session in Lexington, Michigan one year after they became engaged. We had a beautiful night on the water and were able to visit the spot Rick popped the question last year. Lexington is exactly what I needed to get out of the “same old, same old” rut and I really enjoyed spending the evening with Christina and Rick. Keep watching the blog for their wedding coming in October.
