Ariel contacted me a few weeks ago about doing a Bonnie and Clyde themed engagement session. After a meeting and some collaboration, we came up with a fusion of Bonnie and Clyde and 20s themed. Their outfits combined with some backgrounds that I chose, which lent themselves to that style, gave us a great afternoon. We were even blessed with a “giant snowflake” shower at the end to give us a totally different look. Ed and Ariel have a June wedding planned. Enjoy!
Jennifer and Mark are a couple that loves the outdoors. Mark is a big fisherman and hunter and I think Jennifer has followed in his steps. Their beautiful ceremony and reception was held at Dunham Hills Golf Club in Hartland, Michigan. The entire wedding had an outdoors theme, from the white pine and deer antler accents to the candles lighting the aisle, every touch said outdoors Michigan. I loved the smiles Jen had all day and how happy Mark seemed at the ceremony. Best wishes for a beautiful and enjoyable life together
Emily and Dan had a beautiful ceremony at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Shelby Township on Friday evening. We even were able to get out after the ceremony to get some nice shots of Emily and Dan with the sunset in the background. It was then off to Fern Hill Golf Club in Clinton Township for their “spooky” reception. With the Halloween season upon us, Emily and Dan planned a spooky/creepy themed reception…complete with spiders hanging from the chandeliers. Overall it was anything but a “scary” wedding day for Emily and Dan.
It seemed like Ilyssa contacted me ages ago about photographing Max’s Bar Mitzvah. The day finally rolled around and it was a party to be remembered. The day started at the Synagogue with the pre-service pictures, family pictures, etc. and then Max did a great job with his part of the service. Afterward, it was on the The Grotto, in Oakbrook for the party. Max has a passion for sports cars, and so the theme of the party was cars…complete with a red Ferrari that Max and his dad took a ride in to close out the party. Between the dancing and games, I had a ton to take pictures of and as you can see, everyone was having a great time. Congratulation Max.
Ok, it’s a little misleading, although they are going to the beach for their honeymoon. Sarah and Adam were married at St. Peters and Paul Catholic Church in Detroit. We started out at Sarah’s parents home in Romeo. What a beautiful old victorian style home. A great place for some pictures of the bridesmaids and Sarah getting ready. They guys decided to go to Riverwalk to get their photos prior to the ceremony and then we hit the Detroit highlights between the ceremony and reception, complete with a stop at Lafayette Coney Island (one of my favorites). We had just enough time to get some cool pictures at Metro Beach, where the reception was also held. A beautiful warm, August, Michigan evening.
