Becca is from Traverse City and Mike was stationed in Traverse City with the Coast Guard when they met. The rest is history. Although their wedding is going to be in the Detroit area, they wanted to make sure they had some photos of the area of the state that is so dear to them. Old Mission Peninsula’s lighthouse and wineries and orchards and downtown Traverse City played as backdrops for the photos. What a beautiful afternoon.
Jaime and Dan have been living in Chicago for about 5 years now and call it home, but their roots go back to Michigan…Northville and Traverse City to be exact. Jaime and Dan wanted to do an engagement session in the city that has meaning for them, so after much leg twisting (NOT), I agreed to do their session in Chicago. We spent about 2 hours exploring Michigan Ave., the Wrigley Building and Trump Tower (where Dan asked Jaime to marry him) and North Ave. beach. At the beach we were even treated to a warm Chicago welcome from some boaters (not sure if mooning and flashing is considered a warm welcome…but it was worth a bunch of laughs). Although it didn’t get as dark as we had hoped and Dan’s tummy began to rumble, we still got some awesome twilight shots. Looking forward to their December, Inn at St. John’s wedding.
